The Paleontological Research Institution is celebrating Earth Week with activities during the week at the Museum of the Earth, and culminating with the first annual Diamond in the Rough Hike-A-Thon on Saturday, April 28th.

The Paleontological Research Institution is celebrating Earth Week with activities during the week of April  21 - 28 with special demonstrations and tours during the week at the Museum of the Earth, and the first annual Diamond in the Rough Hike-A-Thon on the Black Diamond Trail on Saturday, April 28. The goal of the Hike-A-Thon is to raise funds for Earth science and climate change education!

Activities scheduled for Earth Week:

Saturday 4/21/18 - Museum of the Earth

  • 1:00 - 3:00 pm - Microplastics Pollution demonstration and activity

Monday, 4/23/18 - Museum of the Earth

  • 11:30 am - Climate Change Tour
  • 1:00 – 2:00 - Weather in a Tank demonstration         

Thursday 4/26/18 - Museum of the Earth

  • 11:30 am - Climate Change Tour
  • 1:00 – 2:00 - Weather in a Tank demonstration         

Friday 4/27/18 - Museum of the Earth

  • 11:30 am - Climate Change Tour
  • 1:00 – 2:00 - Weather in a Tank demonstration                       

Saturday 4/28/18 - On the Black Diamond Trail from Alan Treman Marine Park to the Cayuga Nature Center
